MALEFI membership confers many advantages--conference attendance, newsletter, networking, and more.
MEMBERSHIP is open to Law Enforcement officers and is required in order to attend conferences. Annual fees are $20. To join, complete and return the membership application to the address shown on the form.
The JAMES LANSING SCHOLARSHIP was set up to honor one of M.A.L.E.F.I.'s past members. There are a few minimal requirements.

You must be a member of M.A.L.E.F.I.
It must be an out-of-state use-of-force training course.
You must present an accounting of your expenses after you return.

Following your return, you must present a block of training, covering your course content at a M.A.L.E.F.I. training conference.
Your application should be submitted to the Training Committee (Board Members). The Committee will expect to award the scholarship after their spring meeting, around the middle of March. Department and personal budgets may not be in order by that date but submit your application as far in advance as possible. Please document the benefits of this training will have on you, your department and M.A.L.E.F.I.
Specific deadlines may appear in the newsletter. Return the application to the Training Committee Vice President or contact your local director.
